Job Summary
The City of Fort Collins is seeking a Lead Inspector, Construction to join our Streets department. This is a full-time position with the City with an anticipated hiring salary range of $69,000-$85,000 a year! The Lead Inspector, Construction is responsible for performing inspections of road construction and repair projects to ensure compliance with approved plans, job specifications, and City standards. This role provides technical expertise, directs materials testing, and helps train and guide other inspectors. The Lead Inspector also monitors contractor progress, promotes safety initiatives, and contributes to the development of standard operating procedures. Additional responsibilities include preparing reports on work progress and costs and addressing citizen concerns. This position plays a key role in ensuring quality and compliance in construction projects while supporting the Streets department’s overall mission. The ideal candidate would have inspection experience in both asphalt and concrete.
